This was my first and only Grateful Dead concert and glad to have experienced at least one of their shows. I can see now why people have gone to multiple shows. Often on the same tour. You have to be there to fully appreciate. Spontaneous and kinetic atmosphere. Never felt anything bad was going to happen.

At the time, on the news the next day, it was reported, this show broke the attendance record. It is an open air facility for those not familiar with this place. Unofficial number was 90,000 or so people in attendance and being there, I wouldn`t doubt it.

During Steve Millers set, power went out during " Fly Like An Eagle ". It was out for a few minutes. I remember some guy being completely naked and laying down in front of a policeman. His girlfriend was pleading with the officer saying, " Don`t arrest him ! Don`t arrest him ! We`re from Los Angeles ! " My brother and I just burst out laughing. Very memorable show.
